My son had to write a speech about an everyday hero.. I was amazed when he chose my mother who lost her battle to cancer 2 years ago. I always thought she was a super grandma.. the boys spend their summers in France at her country house in the Pyrennes.. and adored her .. but when I read this paper.. I was so touched and so proud!

To me a hero is not some one who breathes fire or shoots lightning out of their hand but a person who never gives up, cares about others, has good suggestions, and always tries their hardest. Nobody is perfect but anybody can try their hardest. This is why I chose my grandma as my everyday hero. Even though she is dead I still look up to her. She is the kind of person that will change your life and influence you to be a better person. My grandma would give me money to buy stuff whenever I asked politely. She would not get mad when we made a mistake. She built a whole playground out of old wood, ropes, tires, and ladders just so we could play there 15 days a year. She always had a positive attitude even when she was about to pass away. But what mattered most to me was that she always tried her hardest. And this is why my grandma is my every day hero.

It all started when Katrina wanted some pregnancy photos and I was coming through Los Angeles.

When I saw the size if her tiny belly, it turned into a portrait session with her sweet heart!

No matter the motive of the shoot, we had a blast at their house in Hollywood.

In France, when it rains we make crepes... and the story says that we make sure, while flipping them, to throw one behind a piece of furniture... it is supposed to bring good luck! It sounds to me like it would bring good ants!
My son, Ulysse, loves to make crepes.. and at 14, he asked for a fancy crepe pan for his birthday gift! mmm... He even asks for crepe cakes at every birthday party and it's become a tradition at home and at school!

Crepes are so delicious.. with sugar, with jam, with nutella... theses here where filled with nutella for his class party... yum!

I shot Suzie's wedding a few years ago.. it was a lavish fall wedding in Napa and her love for flowers already showed. I will upload some of theses one day!

Suzie and I got together recently and decided to photograph her flowers at Flora Grubb, where she designs them. Flora Grubb is a perfect setting for a photo shoot.. the light, the details everything was exquisite! I grabbed my Contax, a few rolls of films (VC 400) and met up with Suzie on a Tuesday afternoon. We had been talking about props for a while, and we ended up using her Grandmother's table cloth as well as my Grandmother's plate.. 2 continents sur une table!

I loved her metal tags... and the way she mixes succulents and wild flowers... her bouquets are elegant, simple, breathtaking!

En un mot ... superbe!

We all had a great trip at Avila beach during the holidays!

But the best part was hanging out with my sons. I just love the sweet relaxing walks on the beach, watching the sunset sitting side by side and talking about life. I love learning from them as I try to answer their endless questions. I love that Marius is now trying to learn photography and Ulysse keeps asking me for kisses.

There is something really special about vacations with my boys and I know, as I watch them grow, that such times are more and more precious everyday.....

So I embrace 2010 and welcome more sweetness with them.

Hello Dear clients,

We understand that many of you will want their albums, reprint orders and holiday cards before the December holidays, and we want to help you get it on time.

Seasonal peaks impact on our delivery times because we hand-make all our albums and cards to order. Demand doubles during November and December and albums may take 6-8 weeks to deliver. Prints will take 2-3 weeks. This year’s cut-off date for December delivery is October 5 for albums and November 15 for reprints. Please plan well ahead to minimise deadline pressures and possible disappointment.

To ensure December 2009 delivery for your albums:
We need your order by October 5. We need answers to all queries along with your final confirmation and payment arrangements within 4 working days of us sending you the order confirmation document. Your order cannot go into production until then.

Take a look at this super fun super fast wedding album.. we were running and jumping in the street, posing at the Omni hotel, on the top of a building then into City Club for a ceremony ... wow! It took me a few days to recover but Oh la la! I loved Nicole and Patrick's energy!

Hi.. New York again.. This family asked me to photograph them around their apartment in Chelsea. They have 3 beautiful girls and Mum is a stylist.. so we decided to go with a fashion look. Mum put on her fur and high heels.. Dad put on a suit and the girls went with their favorite dresses.. We shot in their living room, on the roof of their building in East Village and in the street under the cherry blossom trees.. It was so much fun! I love it when my clients get all dressed up...
